dog god

My head’s in vertigo, keeps spinning, spinning, spinning
And not a second to just stand still
A god of mine is wheezing, screeching, grinning
And feeding off of my remaining will

And like a drunkard, I keep stumbling, rolling, reeling
I can’t afford to let myself stand still
This god of mine demands that I keep kneeling
And bending to his absolute and only will

The world keeps turning, throws me off of it
But I’ll keep climbing Sisyphus-like, right until
This god of mine shall err and tumble over
And when he does, I’ll go right for the kill.
